We extend an open invitation for all to attend our annual business meeting, and program which features a talk by Hal Pugh, local historian and potter. Hal and his wife Eleanor have researched and written a book entitled, Naomi “Omie” Wise, Her Life, Death and Legend.”

Hal and co-author/wife Eleanor Minnock-Pugh, live in the New Salem community of Randleman, NC, which lies in close proximity to the actual location of poor Naomi’s demise. They have researched the facts and legends of a sensational story that’s been kept alive for over 200 years. It’s a fascinating story that’s survived the ages, aided by a ballad made famous by NC
