The Museum of Old Domestic Life, located next door to Springfield Friends Meeting, is an historic Quaker meetinghouse dating from 1858. It’s filled with a wonderful collection of everyday objects from 19th century Quaker homes, as well as furniture, clothing, books and papers on display from the same period.
Located in Jamestown, North Carolina honoring and preserving the history of the “Other South”. Built by Quakers that actively opposed slavery, promoted universal education, and labored to create a life of peace and simplicity in the midst of troubled times. Open to the public for paid tours.
